Albert Street House

New House
115 square metres

This split-level, three-bedroom home hunkers into an east-facing slope adjoining Crown land. This orientation provided a particular design challenge in maximising north windows while optimising views to the east. A strategically designed ‘sail’ roof and pergola frames help moderate interior temperatures throughout the year and help visually anchor the building on the site.

The textures of the garden are balanced by a textured palette of materials – ribbed Colorbond, timber, plywood, burnished concrete – creating a restful, rustic space in which to live.
